For example, there are organized walking tours in which you will walk in several stages from the Hoek van Holland to Zandvoort, but you can also go for a walk and discover the area yourself. For those who don't feel like walking, there is also a shopping center nearby.
The beach at Burgh-Haamstede is known to be one of the quietest and most beautiful beaches in the Netherlands. The beach is located on the most northern island of Zeeland, Schouwen-Duiveland. #5 De Kwade Hoek
There is also a quiet natural beach near the De Kwade Hoek nature reserve. Until the beginning of the last century the entire nature reserve was still under water. The nature reserve got this name because fishermen used to sail there and when the fairway silted up currently it became very treacherous. That is how the place has been named the 'kwaaie hoek'. At high tide, the water still flows deep in the area and it is almost always very swampy, so a good pair of walking shoes or boots are definitely recommended. The area is only accessible from July 16 to March 14, birds will breed in the area in the other months because that is the breeding season.
This differs per beach and time. Some beaches have certain hours when dogs are allowed on the beach and at other beaches it is never allowed. At Oasis Punt-West you will find pet-friendly accommodations.
